Since its creation in 2021, the Halter Ranch/Hansjoerg Wyss Charitable Trust has granted over $1.7 million to support non-profits and educational programs, empowering the next generation of leaders in the local communities Halter Ranch calls home.
To ensure these resources make the deepest impact in the communities where our team lives and works, the Trust identifies partners through a proactive internal review.

One Brand in Three Unique Destinations
Award-winning estate located in the Western hills of Paso Robles’ Adelaida District. Founded in 2000, the winery is dedicated to conservation, preserving 90% of its 2,700 acres as a permanent wild land. We specialize in high-quality Bordeaux and Rhône-style wines, including the flagship Ancestor and CDP blends, which reflect the unique limestone-rich terroir.
The original Paso Robles estate offers a picturesque visitor experience with unique amenities, including scenic tours, lodging, a private airstrip, and rides on the Halter Ranch Railroad.
Branching out beyond the Central Coast, Halter Ranch has expanded its winemaking and hospitality to two other well-known wine destinations - Temecula (Opened 2023) and Fredericksburg, Texas (Opened 2024).

While traversing the ridges of the Rocky Mountains as a young man during the 1950s, Swiss entrepreneur and philanthropist Hansjörg Wyss developed a lifelong love for America’s open lands and a passion for discovery. Following a highly successful career in life-saving medical science, Wyss has become one of the world’s leading conservationists and philanthropists, dedicated to repaying his fortune through philanthropic endeavors.
