2022 Petit Verdot

Our 2022 Petit Verdot has aromas of blackberry, cardamon, clove and black tea. The entry is rich, lush and brimming with flavors of blueberry and raspberry. The mouth coating mid palate is framed with hints of cedar and toasted oak, finishing with soft, approachable tannins.

Blend: 100% Petit Verdot

Aging Recommendation: Drink now through 2050.

Alcohol: 14.6% | pH: 3.64

Harvest Date: 10/22/22

Fermentation: A 5-day cold soak followed by a hot fermentation during the first 6 days of primary. Pump overs 2-3 times daily until temperatures were cooled down around day 7. Fermentation took place in stainless steel closed top tanks.

Aging: Aged 16 months in 100% French oak barrels, 50% of which were new oak.

Pairing Suggestions: Pair with coffee rubbed filet, roasted meats, hearty soups and dark chocolate.
