There’s a wonderful feeling at the Estate this time of year. The days are still warm, the vineyards are beginning to show signs of the season ahead, and harvest is just around the corner. It’s one of my favorite times of year in Paso Robles, a time when there’s a little extra energy in the air and plenty to look forward to. 

While many wineries in our area have already started picking (some earlier than ever), we’re on a slightly different schedule. We’re on track to begin harvest in late August. That’s early for us, but not quite as early as some of our neighbors. It’s a great example how microclimates, grape varieties and soils dictate the long journey of a grapevines life cycle and goal to produce ripe grapes: even vineyards in the same region can have very different growing seasons and rhythms.  

We’re excited to share this fall’s Ranch Club shipment with you. Inside, you’ll find a hand-curated selection, featuring new vintages of our Effervescent Rosé, CDP, and Ancestor wines, along with the new vintage of our Libelle Rosé, available as a substitution option. I hope you’ll open these bottles with friends, gather around the table, and enjoy them the way we do: with good food and good company. 

The months ahead are full of opportunities to celebrate. We’re looking forward to our annual Ancestor Dinner at the Estate and our Harvest & Heritage Winemaker’s Dinner in Fredericksburg. I hope to see many of you, share a meal, raise a glass, and celebrate the season together.
