As another harvest winds down and the vineyard continues its transition into fall, I find myself feeling especially grateful. There’s something about this time of year, with the cooler mornings, golden light over the vines, and the last fruit making its way into the winery, that invites us to slow down and appreciate all we have to be thankful for. 

And so, as we release this season’s Silver Label shipment, I want to say thank you. Your continued support as a Silver Label member means the world to us. It allows our team to continue caring deeply for this remarkable piece of land and making wines that honor where they come from. Every bottle carries a little bit of Halter Ranch with it, and we’re delighted for those bottles to find their way to your table. 

We’re especially excited about the wines featured in this season’s release. One of my favorites is our 2022 Libelle, which recently received an Editor’s Choice distinction from Wine Enthusiast. It’s a sparkling wine made for celebrations, and we hope you’ll enjoy it in good health, preferably with a few of your favorite people gathered around the table. 

We’re also thrilled to introduce our first Estate Zinfandel, available as an add-on in your shipment. We made only a limited amount, so this one feels particularly special. With tasting notes of dark cherry, blueberry and spice, it is perfect for holiday dinners. We cannot wait to share it with you and hear what you think. 

Out in the vineyard, we’re nearly across the finish line. This was one of our earliest harvests on record, and while springtime shatter gave us lighter yields, what we did bring in is showing beautiful quality and intensity. Our team is now deep in the wonderful work of turning this year’s fruit into the wines you’ll be opening and enjoying in the years ahead.
