| Winemaker’s Notes: |
Our latest vintage of Ranch Red is a blend of eleven (!) different grape varieties with Zinfandel predominating. It displays a saturated ruby hue with fragrant aromas of blackberry, cranberry, tea leaf and smoke. On the medium-bodied palate, the wine offers rich blackberry, black cherry and raspberry fruit flavors complemented by earth, herb and creamy vanilla tones. With a vein of crisp acidity balancing its robust, ripe fruit flavors, this bold, savory red is delightful now with hearty foods like grilled steak, barbecued ribs, Lasagna Bolognese and venison stew, but it will age gracefully in bottle for another 3-4 years.
