Our present winery consists of two small buildings, one for fermentation and one for barrel aging. A new, state-of-the-art winery is in the planning stages. This facility will enable us to utilize more of our estate grapes and maximize the fine quality of our wines.

Tasting Room

Our tasting room sits in a beautiful garden with large oak trees, providing a cool, shady environment in which to enjoy our fine wines.

The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to our fine wines, we offer books on food and wine, Halter Ranch logo apparel, and locally produced olive oils. Selected deli items, including cheeses, meats, olives, nuts and nonalcoholic beverages are available so you can relax and picnic in the garden surrounding the tasting room.

Tours (advance appointment only)

Tours begin with a walk through our recently restored, 19th-century barn. Here you will learn about the history of the area, the renovation of the farmhouse, and our plans for further restoration of the historic ranch. In the vineyard, we will talk about the unique aspects of our west side Paso Robles region, our vineyard’s special features and a little bit about sustainable farming and the art of viticulture. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and require advance appointment.
