Happening Season

Old Speedsters and Winery

New looking old cars and new looking new winery

Event season is upon us!  Over the course of the next two months multitudinous opportunities to taste, and eat, and all around wine will be presenting themselves.  What follows is an update on various events (Incoming!) and a few details as we break ground on an exciting new project here at the ranch.

On April 11, 12, and 13 the Annual Earth Day Food and Wine Festival will be taking place at Castoro Cellars. Our own Katie Glenn, Kendall Carson, and Leslie Wyss will be manning the HRV station.  Check the website here for tickets and details.

April 25 marks the opening day in this year’s Cab Collective event series.  We will be holding a special barrel tasting and seminar featuring 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon with a discussion hosted by our winemaker Kevin Sass. For details on this special event and to buy tickets check our website here.  For information on general Cab Collective events follow the link here.

Wine Festival 2014 begins on May 15 and will continue through the weekend with events at individual wineries and in Paso Proper.  Here at Halter Ranch you may expect delicious bites from Killer Eatz on Saturday and Sunday and live music both in the Main Tasting Room and Wine Club Lounge on Sunday.

On May 16, in the Midst of Wine Fest…festivities…our annual Bridge Dinner is so sold out we are considering updating its name to the annual Build A Bridge dinner.  This new event will offer guests the opportunity to help us construct a second covered bridge by hand (this sentence and the last half of the preceding sentence are a joke).  In regard to remaining HRV specific events for the year we’d recommend securing your spots soon as they are getting snapped up quick!

Finally, some exciting news on the construction front.  We break ground on a new tasting room adjacent to our winery this week.  The new space will overlook our vineyard and feature ample outdoor seating for picnicing and tasting.  The current tasting room will remain as a visitor center and possibly a small country store.  We will keep you updated on all developments as we move toward completion of the new space toward the end of this year.
