Leslie Wyss, Operations Manger
Leslie is a carefully and creatively practiced “backstage manager.” Not one for the limelight, her favorite part of the job is making plans, managing logistics, developing the look and feel of Halter Ranch, and quietly implementing a seamless experience for visitors. This is how she approaches most every aspect of her job at Halter Ranch.
A graduate of San Francisco State University, Leslie worked as graphic designer in San Francisco, and later ran a design studio at Chico State University. At Halter Ranch she has applied her designer’s eye to many restoration projects, including the renovation of the 1880 Victorian Farmhouse. Leslie thinks of Halter Ranch as the most creative project she has ever been part of.
When Hansjörg Wyss (ironically, no relation) put the Halter Ranch project together, he convinced Leslie and her husband Mitch to come onboard to develop the vineyard and winery. Leslie has grown into the job, managing many aspects of the Ranch outside of winegrowing and winemaking.
